CrossFit Endurance Trainer Course

Spend two full days with the CrossFit Endurance staff learning, studying, and applying the principles of CrossFit Endurance. The CrossFit Endurance Trainer Course is an introduction to CrossFit Endurance and other factors which impact performance.

During the Course attendees will learn how CrossFit Endurance works for endurance athletes and CrossFit athletes. Attendees will learn proper run mechanics. This will include video taping and drills.

Attendees will learn more about CrossFit Endurance training & programming, nutrition, recovery, injury prevention & care. This Course will be presented by members of the CrossFit Endurance staff. Please wear clothing you can work out in, running shoes, and bring a wrist watch with a stop watch function.

The endurance community is largely over-training and this is an indispensable tool at learning how to effectively train someone and keep them healthy and ready for their next race.

INTRODUCTION TO CROSSFIT

The emphasis of the Introduction to CrossFit Program is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements.  It is designed to prepare you to successfully enter our ongoing group classes.  During these sessions we will be hammering technique, both to ensure your safety and success at the next level. We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity. We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non technical and progressively move to the more technical movements. It is important that you are here for each of the 12 sessions as these movements build on one another. There will be a workout at the end of each session which will get progressively more challenging as the course progresses. The difficulty of these workouts is ultimately in your hands...the degree that you push yourself will determine how much suffering goes on.  This classes is called "Introduction to CrossFit" for a specific reason.  We want to slowly introduce you to the level of intensity and output that is inherent in our group classes. ' Class Information: Class will meet on: Tuesday - Thursday - Friday  from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Session Start Date:  July 5th, 2011 Cost of Class:  $150 per participant

Fight Gone Bad 5

Oakland County CrossFit is participating for the second time in the annual Fight Gone Bad Fundraiser that will provide much needed support for our troops, law enforcement and first responder communities and the millions of Americans fighting all types of cancer. When participating athletes step up for their 17-minute Fight Gone Bad Workout on September 25th, they won't be competing just for themselves.  They will be raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, The LIVESTRONG Foundation, and The CrossFit Foundation. Our event will take place on Saturday September 25th, along with more than 500 CrossFit Affiliates throughout the United States and around the world.  Last year over 5,200 people participated, and were able to raise 1.1 million for the charities.  This year we hope to break the $2 million mark.
